Flowers

19 Dec

Since the beginning of our wedding planning, we anticipated making the bridal/bridesmaid bouquets and the centerpiece flower arrangements.  However, we kept changing the types of flowers.  The first plan involved red roses, and the second involved red carnations.  The final decision?  Fake flowers!

We have spent countless hours making the centerpiece flowers, which are made out of paper.  The arrangement isn’t complete, but here is a sneak peek:

As for the bouquets, Jen and (bridesmaid) Andrea attempted to make fabric “rosettes”a few months ago.  The rosettes were very difficult.  Jen recently tried another type of fabric rose, which is much easier, but not less time consuming!

We will be busy for the next few months, but we are getting very excited for our day.  110 days to go!

Something Blue

9 Dec

Last night, I (Jen), anxiously waited for the UPS man to doorbell ditch me. He had my something blue! He finally showed up around 7:30 with my package. I ripped open the box (not literally because I didn’t want to ruin it’s contents), and I found… My beloved wedding shoes!

It’s impossible to take a cute picture of your own feet, so this picture will have to do:

I absolutely love them! I tried my dress on for the hundredth time, just to make sure they match. :) I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find the right color/height, but they’re perfect.
